Through amazing online parish transcripts for Churston Ferrers and Brixham I found the marriage of my 6xg. grandparents on Addi’s side: Robert Alward and Eleanor Dugdal. Then remarkably I found Robert’s brothers and parents too: Robert Alward and Ann Bampfield were married on 30th July 1717 at Churston Ferrers, Devon. AND... Eleanor Dugdal’s parents were John and Eleanor (no marriage found yet so no surname for Eleanor. Next steps: to visit the village as am sure lots of the family are buried there. Surnames: BAMPFIELD, DUGDAL, ALWARD.
